To overcome this, conductive powders such as silver, gold, and graphite are added in a polymer matrix. However, this technique results in deterioration of polymer properties and high cost. Since the inception of electrically conductive polymers, the scientific community has shown immense interest in it. Polymers can be made conductive through doping. Doping levels are varied while the mechanical flexibility and high thermal stability of polymers remain unaffected.
